Our mobile apps are a core part of the growth strategy of our company (revenue from our mobile products has grown from 0.5% to just under 4% of company revenue in a year). I ensure that every member we add to the team is passionate about improving the product from design and usability right through to measuring RPC response times and CPU and memory utilisation.

Senior PHP Developer - Pocket Kings

March 2009 - Sep 2009 (7 months)

Created an in-house CDN to improve global load times.

Lead Developer - Digital:CC

At Digital:CC I lead a team of 5 developers to create an entire network of sites for the Hearst Corporation.

Uptime was a top priority and so redundancy was a key requirement for all aspects of the system. One interesting task from an engineering perspective was improving the system's performance. Some sites we worked on (many have since been redesigned)
